Welcome, I am Geraldine.

Finn & Paddy & Co was born from my love for rescue dogs, my involvement with rescues and my passion to help dog owners so that less dogs end up in shelters.

I remember clearly the feelings of overwhelm, frustration and failure I experienced when I had a very special rescue dog in my home as foster.

This is something I do not want dog owners to feel.

I want less dogs to end up in shelters or being put to sleep because this truly breaks my heart.

That’s why I really want to help you. No matter who you are and who your dog is, my mission is to connect with you, your family, and your dog. I will listen to you and the challenges you are faced with. I promise that the life you initially envisioned with your dog will become a reality. I will guide you every step of the way and share with you my experience and my tools.

You may meet my most loyal friends, my 3 rescue dogs and true inspiration:

FINN

Finn was my first rescue. He is a mix between a German shepherd and a labrador. I rescued him in 2017. He was about 5-6 years old then. He used to belong to a family but for some reason we are not aware of, they decided to get rid of him and brought him to the pound. He just desperately wanted love and cuddles, and needed to be as close to me as possible. At the beginning I was not sure I was going to keep him because I was still mourning my previous dog Joyce who had passed away a few months before and I was not ready to receive all his love. But then I just couldn't picture him leaving and I totally fell in love with him. He is a big fella but he is the sweetest.

PADDY

Paddy arrived as a foster 4 months after I adopted Finn. He was found on the streets with another dog that I fostered for a while too. We know nothing about his past, and we reckon he was about 1 year old then. Finn was suffering from anxiety a lot at that time due to his past and I realised Paddy was very good for him because he was so calm and happy go lucky. It is quite unbelievable how chilled Paddy is, as a rescue dog. Nothing bothers him, all he wants is belly scratches :-).

BRUCE

I found Bruce on the streets in 2019. He was a bag of bones, covered with mange and terrified. It took me one hour to be able to just approach him. We reckon he was about 1 then and probably used as a hunting dog. He was treated so badly that he didn't trust humans at all. It took me a lot of patience to gain his trust but now we have such a special bond and he really came out of his shell. Today he is still shy when meeting strangers, he still doesn't like sudden moves or loud noises, but he is also bold and goofy :-).

I would love to hear about you and your dog, so please reach out via my contact page.

Talk to you soon,
